In my meat buying spree the other day I picked up a 6-pack of top sirloin steaks.  That’s 4 meals worth!  Meal 1 is tonight.

DINNER - Steakhouse Dinner - Top sirloin steak, baked botato and salad with blue cheese dressing.

I almost had the freezer meat beat.  I could see the light at the end of the freezer meat tunnel.  Then I went to the store and just went crazy.  I spent a couple hours today portioning out meat for the freezer and I have a couple more hours tomorrow too.

D has been asking for French onion soup for quite some time.  I keep trying recipes, but they just aren’t what we were looking for.  I think I found THE ONE!

We had cereal and such for breakfast this morning then ran errands in the afternoon.  By 2pm we were pretty hungry and a long way from home so we stopped and had a late lunch.  Come dinner time neither of us was very hungry so we decided on some appetizers for dinner.

I had taken a piece of sirloin steak out of the freezer the other day and was looking for a use for it.  I had some leftover flour tortillas and peppers so I combined them for a little Thursday night fiesta.

It was almost 1 year ago when the Halls of SLC came to visit for Thanksgiving.  While I was at work one day they went to Pike Place Market and brought me a pair of pastas from a gourmet pasta shop.  I decided to use one of them tonight.
